John Glanville
John has been working in the area of psychology for over 15 years. He started his career in Corrective Services working with sexual offenders and their victims.
After leaving his Team Leader role in Corrective Services, John established a private practice and began general consultation. This business venture eventually led back to work with criminals on probation orders and also branched out into the area of sport, in particular, rugby league.
With regard to the latter, John was involved with various clubs at the Queensland Club level before working in the NRL.
After a 3 year hiatus from the profession of psychology to focus on writing pursuits, John returned to general consultation in 2021, and in collaboration with Mia, founded The Lighthouse.

Healing the Shamed
John worked in various prisons and specialised in the area of risk assessment and rehabilitation of sexual offenders. His interest in this field led to the writing of the award-winning book, Healing the Shamed: Empowering Victims of Sexual Abuse.
In Healing the Shamed, John presents raw and highly emotive dialogues between himself and his clients-from hard-hitting conversations with various types of child sexual offenders to deeply soulful journeys with victims as they confront their past and attempt to heal.
